Darren Tashine | Drag King
Darren Tashine is a Drag King based out of Providence, RI.
He is known for his elaborate costuming builds, story-driven performances and whimsical style.
Darren has been performing in Drag since June of 2022 is a Lord in the Imperial Court of Rhode Island. Some of his accomplishments include:
- Block Island has celebrated him as the first drag king to perform on the island.
- He was the first king to win the TikTok drag contest.
- He was runner up for Worcester Gauntlet in 2024
Darren brings his unique background in professional theater and film to the drag world. He has a BFA in costume and set design from the University of Connecticut and worked in the film industry as a Production Designer from 2017 to 2021. A published illustrator and poet, (Although his published work can be found under the name Jeanette Andromeda) Darren lives to create and share his joy with the world through art and creativity.
